Tanya Boyd
Owner/CEO
Hi, I’m Tanya! After spending 18 years in a stable role at an insurance agency, I took a leap of faith to pursue more time with my children and a different path selling Aflac. What started as a way to supplement income led me to a realization — clients wanted more comprehensive benefits services, and that’s how TBA was born. I never set out to build a benefits agency, but through organic growth and trust, it evolved into something far greater than I imagined.
Today, TBA is a thriving, debt-free company, and my passion lies in creating a supportive, safe place for my team to work and for us to help clients improve their lives. I have two wonderful adult daughters, aged 25 and 22, and two stepchildren, 35 and 32. I cherish experiences over material things — traveling fills my soul far more than any luxury could. Above all, I deeply value my faith in God and give Him credit for the blessings and events that have shaped my journey.
Candi Treadway
Director of Group Account Managers
Candi Treadway is a dedicated employee benefits professional with more than 13 years of experience in the industry. She has previously been an account manager for other agencies in the DFW area. Candi built her expertise around delivering exceptional service, building strong relationships and helping clients navigate the complexities of employee benefits. She currently serves as the Director of Group Account Management, where she leads with a people-first approach and a genuine passion for client service.
Originally from Louisiana, Candi has called Texas home for over 25 years. She is known for being warm, approachable and committed to creating positive experiences for both clients and colleagues. She takes pride in being a trusted resource and believes that great service starts with listening, understanding and truly caring about the people she serves.
Outside of work, Candi enjoys spending time with her husband Travis and their three adult children Natalie, Jaxon and Aiden. For Candi, family, relationships and meaningful connections are at the heart of both her personal and professional life.
Kelly Morgan
Group Account Manager/HR Support/Compliance
Kelly Morgan joined Tanya Boyd & Associates in 2015 and brought with her a “can-do” work ethic. She offers a wealth of knowledge in the areas of Human Resources, Accounting, and Business Management. She holds a BA in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting and is a licensed insurance professional as well. Kelly works with our groups throughout the entire enrollment process. Everything from initial setup, to open enrollment support and finalization processes. But it doesn’t stop there. Kelly continues to provide support year-round and routinely under the banner of Boyd Business Solutions of which she was instrumental in launching. Boyd Business Solutions provides HR, payroll and administrative guidance for small business owners. Through her oversight and business development skills, she has been able to build out service offerings and more. Kelly works hard to educate and support our business owners on topics ranging from pre-taxing payroll, to group health plan documentation in compliance with ERISA. Kelly is well traveled and enjoys spending her free time with family, which includes her son, Aden and dedicated husband Kyle.
Kirstie Clark
Group Account Manager
Kirstie was born and raised in east Texas. Before joining Tanya Boyd & Associates in 2022, she worked in the banking industry for 7 years as a new account representative.
Outside of work, Kirstie enjoys fishing, sports, traveling and spending time with her two daughters. She is excited to be a part of our amazing team and help provide and maintain excellent customer service to our clients.
Cathy Smith
Group Account Manager
In June 2023, Cathy joined the esteemed team at Tanya Boyd & Associates as an Account Manager within the Small Group Department. Hailing from the heart of Texas, she proudly considers Rockwall and Dallas her cherished hometowns. With a remarkable career spanning back to 2013, Cathy has dedicated herself to the insurance industry. From the moment she obtained her license, she has excelled as a producer in the Life & Health sector. Her unwavering passion lies in supporting clients as they navigate the complexities of their health insurance.
Cathy is a people person, and her commitment extends to assisting those individuals in selecting the perfect insurance coverage to suit their unique goals and requirements. Beyond her professional pursuits, Cathy finds joy in various hobbies and interests. She delights in exploring new destinations through her travels, staying active through sports, and finding solace in her garden. Music holds a special place in her heart, and she relishes spending quality family time with her two sons, two Shih Tzu dogs, and her beloved yellow tabby cat, Mac.
Teresa Fennell
Group Account Manager
Teresa Fennell has been a valued member of the Tanya Boyd & Associates team since October 2024, bringing years of experience in administration, bookkeeping, tax preparation and client services. She recently earned her Texas Insurance License, allowing her to expand her role and continue helping clients with the same care, attention and dedication she brings to everything she does.
Teresa has a genuine passion for helping people and believes in treating every client with kindness, honesty, and respect. Outside of work, she treasures time with her family, loves to paint with acrylics, and especially loves her newest role as “GiGi” to her grandson, Callum.
Amber Owen
Group Account Manager
Amber is a lifelong Kaufman County resident and has called Forney home for more than 13 years. She brings experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on employee benefits and providing dependable, personalized service to clients.
Outside of work, Amber enjoys spending time with her husband and son, traveling, and caring for her French Bulldogs. She is passionate about building genuine relationships with clients and helping make the benefits process as smooth and straightforward as possible.
Amanda Shepherd
Junior Group Account Manager
Amanda has proudly called Texas home for the past 16 years, after making her way down from Upstate New York. Amanda previously worked in the golf industry as a Volunteer and Event Coordinator before getting involved with Employee Benefits. Amanda has ten plus years working with both small and large employer groups. She specializes in plan administration, building relationships with prospects, and creating customized websites for our clients.
A true team player, Amanda is always ready to jump in and help wherever she’s needed. Her can-do attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to lend a hand make her an invaluable part of the team—and someone you can always count on to get things done.
Outside of work, Amanda’s favorite place to be is with her two children, Hayes and Kennedy. Friends and family are everything to her, and she loves making memories with the people she loves most. When she’s not busy with them, you’ll probably find her shopping, planning her next getaway, or curled up watching the latest binge-worthy show.
Kristie Hinton
Team Lead – Eligibility & Benefits Administration
My name is Kristie Hinton, and I am an Eligibility Associate. I’m a seasoned project manager with an insurance/customer service background and a track record to help build strong client relationships. I have a natural ability to understand customer needs and consistently meet them.
I pride myself on my organizational skills and passion to help others. Outside work, I enjoy being a mom, reading and watching football.
Geiny Lopez
Eligibility – Benefits Administration
Geiny Lopez joined Tanya Boyd & Associates in July 2024 as an Ease Support Specialist, where she is dedicated to providing exceptional support and efficiency to clients.
Originally from a small town in Iowa, Geiny relocated to Texas in 2013. She enjoys spending time with her husband and 5 children, as well as cooking, hiking, and paddleboarding. A passionate cat foster mom, she has adopted two of her foster cats, Oscar and Phoenix. Geiny is bilingual and brings valuable experience in translation to her role.
Wendy Gant
Individual Account Manager
Wendy joined Tanya Boyd & Associates in October of 2021 part time as Administrative Assistant and Receptionist. She owned her own service business for 36 years, enjoying every minute of working with her employees and clients. Needing a change, she accepted this position as a referral from her friend. Not being in the insurance industry prior to this, Wendy has enjoyed learning and appreciates the patience of everyone who has contributed to her training. She is now working full time with Tanya Boyd & Associates as Administrative Assistant to the Individual department. She enjoys having teammates to share the journey with, they are my “work family” in her words, which is truly what we are here at Tanya Boyd & Associates. When Wendy is not at work, she loves the water! Living in Rockwall, Lake Ray Hubbard is her happy place as well as the pool, hot tub, or ocean when she can get there! She also loves spending time with her family. Having 2 married children and 4 grandchildren ranging from 14 years to 5 years old, you can imagine she stays busy spending time with them as often as possible. Wendy also has a great group of friends who she travels with and loves to play cards with whenever they can find the time.
Tammy Ross
Individual Account Manager
Tammy Ross has worked in the healthcare insurance industry for over 25 years, as well as having experience in fast-paced hospital and doctor’s office environments. She is driven and compassionate and loves helping people. Prior to joining our team, she was a Senior Account Manager and worked over 23 years with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Texas. Activities and honors include leadership development programs, continued educational programs, Account Manager of the Month, and BCBSTX Blue Elite Award for meeting and exceeding goals as a Senior Account Manager. Tammy focuses on maintaining her strengths when it comes to accountability, being reliable, dependable and responsible with a strong focus on working with individuals and families with their health and wellness needs. She’s proven to be a self-motivated and caring individual who is passionate in building client relationships. She prides herself on finding the good in people with a desire for promoting a fun, caring and positive atmosphere. Tammy is very excited to be a part of the Tanya Boyd & Associates team in working with and making our clients our number one priority. Leaving them with a feeling of peace of mind when it comes to their healthcare needs and knowing we are not just about health insurance but also about building relationships. While assisting clients with their healthcare needs is her primary job function by day, Tammy also enjoys spending time with her family and fur babies.
Chris Renfro
Medicare Specialist
Chris Renfro provides additional support for our Senior market. Our clients have great trust in his ability to navigate what at times can be a confusing and daunting topic. We too place great trust in his skills and are happy to have him as part of our team.
